MANDATORY PRINCIPLES OF ATATURK AND HISTORY OF REVOLUTION-I COURSE EXEMPTION EXAM

(For All Faculty and Vocational School Students Registered in 2022)
Ataturk's Principles and History of Revolution-I course is a compulsory course in all departments of our university's faculties and all departments of Vocational Schools. Exemption Exam will be opened for 2022 entry students who want to be exempt from this course. Students who get sufficient points in the exam will not take these courses.

Push-up; It is evaluated out of 100 (hundred) points. Students who score CC 60 (sixty) and above in the exam are exempt from Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution-I course. The score obtained by the students replaces the grade of the exempted course and is taken into account in the graduation grade point average. The score obtained from the exam will also be valid for the course students have to take. Students who cannot be exempted from Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution-I by getting a score below 60 points in the same exam are obliged to take the Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution-I course.

In the exam; Under the title of factors affecting the Turkish Revolution, XIX. and XX. YY. General situation of the Ottoman Empire (Islahatlar, currents of thought, Tripoli War, Balkan Wars), First World War (reasons, beginning, process, participation of the Ottoman Empire in the war, fronts, important developments during the war, ending of the war, war). Agreements made at the end of the Mondros Armistice and its results, the occupation of Izmir, the societies, the preparation process for the War of Independence (Mustafa Kemal's departure to Samsun, the period of circulars and congresses), the declaration of the National Pact, the First Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The opening of Turkey, the uprisings against the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Treaty of Sèvres, the War of Independence (Establishment of the regular army, the fronts and the struggles on these fronts, the Eastern front, the Armenian problem and the Relocation Law, the Battle of İnönü, the Battle of Sakarya, the Great Offensive, the London Conference, Teşkilat-ı Esasiye, Tekalif-i Milliye Emirs…), Mudanya Armistice and Lausanne Agreement will be discussed.

It is not compulsory to take the exam, students who want to apply to the Dean of the Faculty and the Vocational School Directorate with the attached petition.

Application Dates: September 12 – September 16 (until 17:00)

Exam Date: 19 September 2022, Monday

Time: 10:00

Location: Every student will take the exam at the campus where the faculty or vocational school is registered. Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences will take the exam in the classrooms on the Central University Campus.
