TECHNICAL VISIT TO ETİ-MADEN BANDIRMA BORON AND ACID FACTORIES

Our 2nd grade students made a technical trip to Eti-Maden Bandırma Boron and Acid Factories as part of the "Sustainable Logistics" course. The trip took place within the scope of two lessons.

The event was attended by the instructor of the course, Eti Maden İşletmeleri Incoming Deputy Director Dr. Organized under the management of Özgür SAÇ with the contributions of Bandırma Boron and Acid Factories Operations Directorate and Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University International Trade Logistics Department. In the first lesson of the event, there was a video show about the history and promotion of the institution. Then the students, Eti Maden İşletmeleri Deputy General Manager Dr. Özgür SAÇ and Bandırma Boron and Acid Factories Deputy General Manager Muhammet Yakup ÇETİN obtained the necessary information about logistics activities. In order to observe the theoretical knowledge they gained in the field and to reinforce the knowledge about the usage areas of boron and boron products, they visited the relevant facilities and gained on-site information. After the technical trip, dinner was given to the students.

In the second lesson within the scope of the activity, feedback assignments were collected from the students about the knowledge they had acquired, and a Grill Festival was organized with music in order to increase the morale and motivation of the students before the final exams. Students both gained detailed information about logistics processes and had fun.

Eti Maden İşletmeleri Deputy General Manager Dr. Özgür SAÇ, Bandırma Boron and Acid Plants Operations Manager Osman ZENGİN, Internal Services Unit Manager Mr. Mustafa Şahin GÖKBUĞA, Bandırma Boron and Acid Plants Operations Deputy Manager Mr. Muhammed Yakup ÇETİN and many employees hosted. In addition, Ömer Seyfettin Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Alpaslan SEREL, Head of International Trade and Logistics Department Assoc. Dr. Hatice AYDIN, Res. See. İrem HELVACIOĞLU participated in the events.
