TÜBİTAK 3005 Project

Research Assistants Took Part as Scholarship Holders in a TÜBİTAK 3005 Supported Project

In the project titled “Integration of Green Port Strategies in Türkiye: A Roadmap for Sustainable Management”, which has been granted support under TÜBİTAK’s 3005 – Innovative Solutions in Social and Human Sciences Research Projects Support Program, Dr. Lecturer Elif KOÇ serves as a researcher, while Research Assistants İrem Helvacıoğlu and Müsemma ÇÖKERDENĞLU take part as scholarship holders.

The project aims to strengthen the compliance of ports in Türkiye with national and international regulations in order to ensure environmentally friendly and sustainable operations. Within this scope, the current sustainability practices of Turkish ports will be analyzed, internationally recognized green port criteria will be identified, adapted to Türkiye’s conditions, and applicable criteria will be developed.

In line with these criteria, the project aims to provide strategic guidance for sustainable investments of ports, to increase the global competitiveness of Turkish ports, and to ensure compliance with international targets such as the European Green Deal.

We congratulate our research assistants and wish them continued success in their academic endeavors.
