Logistics Lab
As in many other sectors, the widespread use of information systems in the logistics sector has changed the way business is done in the sector and greatly facilitated the functioning of processes. Considering the complex structure of the logistics sector, the design and implementation of information systems tailored to the needs of the sector also increases efficiency and effectiveness in this sector. The timely and reliable execution and tracking of activities in the logistics sector has been made even easier with the use of information systems. The availability of computer programmes widely used in the sector in university laboratories is extremely important in terms of acquiring the professional competence, knowledge and skills required by the modern age.
The Department of International Trade and Logistics focuses on training experts who are knowledgeable about logistics services, familiar with international commercial documents, able to apply delivery and payment methods in commercial transactions, capable of managing supply, production and sales processes, knowledgeable about customs regulations, and able to manage processes efficiently through practical applications, based on laboratory-based learning. In line with this, our Department has one Logistics Laboratory. The laboratory was established during the pandemic and is designed to serve a limited number of people and provide boutique training. The Akınsoft Wolvox ERP programme is available on the computers in the laboratory. The programme was provided by Akınsoft for 200 users.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the individuals, institutions and administrators from our department who provided material and moral support during the establishment of the laboratory, and we hope that it will be beneficial for many educational programmes.
